The Debate Rolls On

So I’m not sure what you and your roommates argue about but during the past couple of days are house has been having the controversy of “Over or Under” for your toilet paper roll. You might chuckle at this and may think we’re weird but let’s be real when you sit down on the potty and the roll isn’t facing the way you want, you gonna get upset.

The Over Type (yay):
1. Easier to locate the end
2. Easier to tear off how much toilet paper you want
3. 70% of people prefer this (as well as myself)
4. Personality includes: taking charge, being organized, and being an over-achiever

The Under Type (boo):
1. Tidier appearance
2. Less chance of cat/child unraveling the roll
3. 30% of people (only 1 of my housemates)
4. Personality includes: laid-back, artistic, dependable

To prove my statistics that I found: out of the 3 people leaving downstairs there is 1 who wants under.

I’m all about some over toilet paper. It’s easier to find. When it’s under you are feeling around and spending about 5 minutes trying to find the end of the toilet paper. Also the only characteristic that could be seen as useful for the under is the tidier aspect. Which if that’s the only tidy part you care about of a bathroom we might have some more problems than I thought.

The Over type is also most efficient. You get to see and tear off how much you want to use. When it comes to the under it is just an estimation. With over you aren’t wasting toilet paper which could lead to you not using as much which lead you to saving money.

So pretty much the over is better. If we all conform to the over this controversy can finally end.
